Renoir Pope has been appointed State Enterprise Architect for the State of California and head of the Office of Enterprise Architecture (OEA), within the California Department of Technology, to work on enterprise-level strategic, business, and technology planning across agencies, a department spokesperson confirmed.
The OEA “strives to establish cohesive and consistent business-driven practices and methods that enable better business decisions. The program helps position organizations to support government business, services, and cross-program initiatives needed to best serve Californians,” says the CDT website. “The OEA leads the architectural practice, is the author of the California Enterprise Architecture Framework (CEAF), and fosters a vibrant and active Enterprise Architecture Community.”
For the past three years, Pope served as a board member of Mettle Health, advising the health support organization on technical and business matters, digital transformation, and service optimization, according to his LinkedIn profile.
From 2019 to 2023, Pope also served as a Principal at Info-Do, a Washington D.C. firm that helped optimize businesses and organizations to overcome IT challenges.
