Kanuri Murty has been appointed as FI$Cal’s Chief Information Officer and Deputy Director of the Information Technology Division, according to the department’s website.  Previously, served as the Chief of Infrastructure and Platform Services Office at FI$Cal.

Murty has held various positions within state government, including serving as an enterprise architect at the California Department of Technology.  Before 2015 when he started working for the state, he worked in various roles as an executive IT architect, senior IT architect, and systems manager for IBM, Covansys Inc., and Tata Consultancy Services.

He has more than 30 years of experience working in both the private and public sectors.

At the California Department of Technology, he was responsible for guiding statewide enterprise architecture and digital transformation and technology initiatives.

Kanuri has a master’s degree in Electronics Engineering and is a certified IBM Information Technology Specialist.
