Marcie Kahbody, deputy secretary and agency chief information officer for the California State Transportation Agency, will serve as master of ceremonies for the fourth annual Emerging Technologies Forum on Oct. 15 in Sacramento.

Kahbody also serves as chief information officer for the California Department of Transportation and oversees information technology responsibilities across CalSTA’s boards, offices, commissions, and departments, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, Caltrans, California Highway Patrol and California High-Speed Rail Authority.

She has more than 35 years of public-sector information technology experience, including leadership of technical teams and enterprise transformation initiatives and programs.
The program will include keynote addresses, panel discussions, fireside chats and 10-minute lightning talks from government and industry participants. Topics will also include artificial intelligence, user-centered design, iterative and continuous improvement, and new approaches to enhancing government programs and operations.
